Why I’m Running
Seeking political office was not what I had in mind when I retired in 2021. I had promised my wife, Mary, that I would take it easy, do more of the outdoor activities I enjoy, like golfing and skiing.
My decision to enter this race came when I watched the votes cast by our current state representative. They were anti-education and anti-healthcare. The votes did not address the urgent needs of our district, especially fair and equitable funding of public education of K-12 and Fort Hays State and expanding KanCare.
I am running to make healthcare and public education a priority again for the 111th District and Kansas.
